Unit by unit

Lessons follow the student's course. This is the kind of material we work through.

Number and algebra

Percents, ratios, equations, expressions and inequalities

Functions

Function notation, linear and quadratic graphs, and modeling

Geometry

Angles, triangles, circles, area, volume and coordinate geometry

Trigonometry

Right-triangle ratios, identities and graphs where needed

Statistics and probability

Averages, data displays, counting and probability

Test strategy

Pacing, educated guessing, checking work and reviewing practice tests

Where students get stuck

Running out of time

We practice what to answer first, what to skip, and how to keep moving.

Forgotten topics

We review the math you learned years ago, focused on what appears on the test.

Score stuck in one place

We sort the mistakes by type and work on the patterns that repeat.

Common questions

Should I study differently for ACT Math than for class?

Yes. Class rewards mastery of one unit, while the ACT mixes topics under time pressure. We train recognition, pacing and review of repeated errors.

How should I use practice tests?

Take them under realistic timing, then spend more time reviewing than testing. Sort errors by cause: concept, setup, careless mistake or time.

Can I improve without learning every math topic?

Often, yes. Focusing on the topics you miss most can be more efficient than reviewing everything equally.

Do you guarantee a score increase?

No. A fair plan should be specific about the work, not promise an outcome.
